All About MedFit
What is MedFit?
MedFit is a Health Monitoring Program administrated by International SOS for PGS.
It is a medical examination that can be performed in any International SOS accredited medical centres.
Who is eligible ?
- You do not need to register nor volunteer for the program.
- PGS will provide International SOS with a list of employees who need to be part of MedFit.

What is the cost for the employee?
All MedFit examinations are paid by your employer: you do not need to advance any payment.
What is the objective of the MedFit program?
- To ensure that high mobility staff employees are fit to travel, work and live outside their country of residence.
- To maintain a confidential medical record for each individual that can be used in case of emergencies, hospitalisation or medical evacuation.
What is included in MedFit examination?
- A complete clinical examination
- Blood, urine and stool analysis
- Hearing and vision tests
- Electrocardiogram (resting)(Once medically Indicated)
- Mammography (when applicable)(Once medically Indicated)
- Vaccination updating
What is the role of International SOS?
- To manage the centralisation of medical evaluations (analysis and processing), input, validation and administration of information by using a tailor-made computer program.
- To send reminder letters by e-mail for pre-employment and periodic checkups.
- To provide an International SOS MedFit website with the information of previous MedFit examinations.
- To send regular reports to PGS Medical Advisor and HR Department.
Frequency of Examinations
The employees will have to undergo a MedFit examination every two years.
You and MedFit
You have to undergo a MedFit:
- If you are a entitled employee in order to ensure that you are fit to travel, work and live outside your country of residence.
- If we have been informed by your HR department that you will be relocated to a new assignment country to ensure that you are fit for the position and geographic location you are assigned to.
To do so, you will need to:
- Make an appointment with one of the accredited medical providers upon receipt of the notification e-mail.
- Create your examination into the online platform
- Prepare the personal information required for the MedFit examination about to be conducted.
This can be done by filling out the online MedFit questionnaire and printing a
hard copy in case the Examining Physician or Medical Provider does not have access to your online questionnaire.
- Undergo your MedFit examination.
- Results will be sent back to International SOS upon your consent for a second medical review.
- You will receive an automatic email once your MedFit certificate is available online.
